The inaugural Dope Black Men breakfast is taking place to provide a focus on Entrepreneurship, Mental Health, and Collaboration within the Black community. We welcome you to join us for a fresh start to the morning with breakfast supplied ahead of a packed agenda of inspiring talks and points of discussion.

The Black Women Business Talks will offer Black women a space to learn effective growth strategies for business development and career success. With interactive talks and group discussions led by stand-out business women and senior leaders, this event will offer you practical advice and insights on how to be your best authentic self as a Black woman in industry, lead in whatever capacity you find yourself in and create success on your own terms.

This event will explore the alternative avenues students can take into tech, the various roles and opportunities available across the tech industry and insights into how students can best prepare to embark on a career in tech.

Black in Cyber - Access
& Key Skills to Succeed
Wednesday 27th October | 2pm – 5pm
With increased working from home, organisations and governments around the world are increasingly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. There is now a growing demand for people to be trained in cybersecurity to help defend against this increasing threat. If you have considered a career as a cybersecurity professional, but weren’t really sure if you had the skillset needed then this event is for you. Network and learn with other ambitious cyber security professionals and learn what it takes to have a successful career from leading Black cyber professionals and recruiters from top organisations.
Black Tech Experience
- Navigating the Tech Diversity Gap
Wednesday 27th October | 6pm – 9.30pm
In an environment where you are “the only one”, it is easy to feel alone. The Black Tech Experience – Navigating the Tech Diversity Gap will bring together Black tech professionals from various organisations and provide a forum where Black professionals will be able to explore tried and tested ways to advance their careers, stay on top of their game and create impact across the sector.
Thursday 28th October | 10am – 2pm
We speak with allies on how they can be more effective in partnering with the Black community to create greater opportunities for the advancement of Black talent. In collaboration with our Diversity and Inclusion coach, we will deliver training to employees and senior management on how to best support Black employees/colleagues, recognise and challenge stereotypes, systematic inequalities and microaggressions in the workplace and create an inclusive work environment where Black employees believe they truly belong.
Culture & Sports Talks
Thursday 28th October | 6pm – 9.30pm
Black media is extremely powerful, this event will highlight what can be done to push positive black stories and how we can embrace our culture in today’s society. Speaking with black entrepreneurs and professionals within media and sports we aim to discuss some of the exciting opportunities available for black professionals.
Build Black Better: How to finance a better post pandemic future

All the evidence shows that Black businesses have historically been significantly underrepresented in VC funding and bank financing. In the United States, many US$ billions have been pledged by major financial institutions and corporations to support Black businesses and racial equity following the murder of George Floyd and acceptance of historic racial injustice.

We speak with some of the experts in the financial industry about how they achieved success within their career, with a notable lack of diversity within this industry the black finance show aims to offer tips on how to successfully navigate a career in finance. We also speak with entrepreneurs who will offer advice on access to finance, alternative finance and scaling up your business.
Saturday 30th October | 9am – 6pm
The UK Black Business Show will not shy away from addressing difficult topics, rather we look to open up people’s minds to new ideas by creating opportunities for our attendees to learn and develop. We look to promote businesses and business leaders who aspire to inspire more black women and men to make a positive difference to the economy and the world at large.
